On the complexity multiplier - use 1.0 for easy work and 1.5 or 2.0 for harder work.
1. The Buffer Rule Never quote exactly how long you think a job will take. Always add 20% to your time estimate. This covers client emails, revisions, and "thinking time" that you usually do for free.
2. The Complexity Multiplier Not all hours are equal. An hour of easy data entry is different from an hour of complex strategy. If a client needs a "Rush Job" (under 48 hours), always multiply your total fee by 1.5x.
3. The Silence Test When you send the price, if the client says "Yes" instantly without asking questions, you are too cheap. A good price should make them pause for a moment to think about the value.
